Nadav Shemesh, who served as senior advisor to Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon in the high-tech field, joins the management of the blockchain company Orbs. The company develops a blockchain infrastructure for various applications, to increase transparency between businesses, institutions, customers and so on. The company was founded in 2017 and raised $ 106 million from private investors (issuing non-public cryptographic currency).
Sun served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force, and when he was released, earned a double degree in electrical engineering and computer science at Tel Aviv University. In 2008 he started working as a student at the software company Babylon. A year later, he was appointed vice president of information systems at the company, and another year he was appointed deputy CEO. After leaving Babylon, he began teaching high school physics in Or Yehuda.
Shemesh joined the All Party when it was founded in 2014, and after the election was appointed Kahlon consultant in his position as Finance Minister. In his role, he was involved in reducing regulation and taxation issues to help high-tech companies. He was named one of TheMarker’s 100 influencers in 2018.
To receive the nomination, Sun appealed to the court to shorten the cooling period in the transition from government service to the private market, and it was approved. The application states that Sun has completed his government role on May 13 and will be appointed as either chairman or CEO of the company. Readitnow’s blog was revealed by the court application.
Orbs confirmed the appointment, and the company’s founder, Tal Cole, said: “We are very excited about joining Nadav Shemesh with Orbs. Landav has a rich background in technology and management, and we are confident that his contribution will help Orbes continue to lead the development of blockchain technology.”
